The Holy Month of Ramadan Begins Saturday, April 2nd, 2022

Ramadan is the holiest month of the year for Muslims all over the world. It is the month of fasting, extra prayers and giving. This is the year 1443 in the Islamic Calendar (Lunar), and will begin on Friday, April 1 2022. The Islamic calendar called Hijra, which means migration, and referring to the migration of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) from Mecca to Madina. Adult Muslims particularly those who are in good health and capable of fasting are required to fast from dawn to sunset during the month of Ramadan. Muslims are expected to have extra prayers, and give genrously to the poor and needy. After the end of Ramadan, Muslims celebrate Eid(feast) al-Fitr( breaking the fast.
